Ready to Lead (R2L) - The goal of CHCI's Ready to Lead (R2L) program is to motivate, educate and empower Latino high school students to graduate from high school, prepare for college admission, and serve and lead in their communities. The program provides training that helps Latino high school students throughout the country with the tools and training they need to prepare for college.
R2l NextGen - The R2L NextGen program is a week-long Washington, D.C. experience, sponsored by State Farm and held in partnership with the Close Up Foundation. CHCI brings students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade to Washington, D.C. to spend five days learning about how the Federal Government works, meeting important leaders, visiting historic sites and developing a deeper understanding of how they can affect positive change in their communities and their nation.
CHCI NextOpp - Since 2001, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) has published six editions of the National Directory of Scholarships, Internships, and Fellowships for Latino Students. With the continuing support of State Farm Insurance, who began sponsoring the Directory's publication in 2008, CHCI replaced the printed directory with the launch of CHCI NextOpp in 2014 -- a powerful, easy-to-use online database for students, parents, counselors, and education providers. This new online tool allows users to search for opportunities based on their unique profile, location, and interests. The site also provides helpful reading materials to further educate users about the college-going process.
